The Arguement for Quality

Here is the truth, I cant afford a lot of the things I sell (on a whim), I however own a few of those things. Most times I have to save in order to get it, and it has taken time for me to understand that I rarely loose when I spring for quality versus just price. A favorite quote is “Quality is remembered long after price is forgotten”. I lead with this because we are getting into the holiday season, a time when the frenzy of consumerism is ablaze, leading to unseen damages to both our emotional balance and the health of our planet. As you make decisions in the coming months, consider buying once, consider buying quality… Now let me get a ladder and step off this soapbox. Is it ok to start playing Christmas music now?
Dont let the change in seasons drag you in the dumps.
Join the Wheelzup Winter Hike challenge and Hike 100 miles between now and the end of 2022. What do you get in return you ask? A pat on the back and more days on this rock called earth 🙂

Mandela’s Muses

There is a depression that comes with actually evaluating the state of affairs. As we get closer to elections, and friends and families begin to fray, more winters marked with scorching temperatures and numerous signs of the poor stewardship of our planets, as we continually as a society continue to focus on ourselves, rather than look out for our neighbors, it is difficult not to dispair. I pride myself in my propensity for “getting stuff done” alas, many of the problems we face seem overwhelming and irreparable, it appears the best approach is to bury one’s head in the sand and keep burrowing. The upside, someone unexpectedly  bought me a cup of coffee the other day, and despite the chaos in life, all seemed well, my life experience for those 30 mins culminated in the experience and fact that there is good in this world. I think little acts of kindness carries more power than maybe the inevitable direction life is going… I think I’ll focus on those, I encourage you to do likewise.
