What’s up People!
Some quick thoughts for your week:

The illetrate of the 21st century will not be those who cannot read and write, but those who cannot learn, unlearn, and relearn.

Just like that, the first month of 2026 is already in the books.

If you’re anything like me, some of the lofty goals we were so fired up about 32 days ago have quietly loosened their grip. Life has a way of doing that.

I’m writing this on a cold, snow-covered morning, in a moment that feels a little divided (in myself, and in our communities). We took January off over here, and honestly, it feels good to be back with you again.

Even so, I’m holding on to a few lessons I’ve already learned and started practicing this year.

The biggest has been shifting from goals to pacts. From my first book in 2026 Tiny Experiments by Anne-Laure Le Cunff Instead of chasing outcomes, I’ve committed to consistency – doing a few small things, regularly, over short stretches of time. Less pressure on results. More respect for effort, and the permission to change or quit after completing the pact.

I’ve also been trying to stay present. The past is gone, and the future isn’t guaranteed. So the plan is simple: show up for today, learn from my mistakes, and make a little more peace with uncertainty.

That’s the mindset I’m carrying into 2026.

I’m curious, how has the first month of the year been for you?
Hit reply and let me know. Truly. I love hearing from you.

For those who enjoy the reflective side of these notes, I’ve been writing more frequently on LinkedIn. No pressure, just an open door. Link Here

Planning ahead pays off!

Choosing quality over scale.
One of the questions we get most is “How far in advance should I book?” Our answer is simple: as soon as your plans are solid. We can’t hold spots without a reservation.

Looking ahead to 2026, we’ll be slightly reducing our shuttle capacity so we can continue delivering the level of service and care you’ve come to expect from us. This month, the most important thing to know is: If you know your dates, we strongly recommend booking early to secure your spot.

Since the last time we spoke…
1. Christmas ski trip with friends – Timberline Mountain
2. Climbing day at Momentum climbing gym
3. Presentation to young adults of Allegany County on Entrepreneurship
4. Presentation at the State capital on the River Park in Cumberland
5. The wonderful Chip at White Grass WV

Winter has a way of reminding us that progress does not always have to be only movement.

Clarity, Spring, and the First Ride of the Season

Suffering sharpens us — but navigating it is exhausting. As spring approaches, a single quote by James Clear cut through the noise: “When you need clarity, subtract.” This season, I’m leaning into that idea. Spring cleaning isn’t just for closets. Sometimes the best move is simply making room for what matters.
